Polish my wooden table

Hello,

I need someone who can collect a table from me, strip off the existing wax, give it a good sanding, and repolish it (or better still lacquer it).

Does anyone know someone who could so this? It's a very heavy and large table top and not something that can be easily transported by one person.

All jokes about polishing my wood gratefully received, as well as actual advice. Milkybar kid, please stay off this thread, I'm referring to bee-wax polish, not the Polish that you pay 500dh for a night with.

Cheers, S

Is it a new table you've bought?

2 years. It was given to me. It was in a very lived in condition when I got it.

I've stripped it and waxed it before, but wax is hard to look after - I want it varnished this time and I can't be bothered to do that job myself.

Iggs, I've followed one of the links on here and I think they will be able to help you open your girlfriend's drawers. They fix all sorts of stuff.

Thanks everyone. A man came today to take it away.

800dh (from 1200) to sand and spray with a two coat hardener/lacquer. Table is 3m x 1m. I thought that was OK. Let's see what mess he makes of on Thursday.
