Podcasts for your listening pleasure.
So, things are quiet on the work front as I clear my desk for summer. What podcasts to you listen to? I need something as i walk the dog.
I love Desert Island discs despite not being 50 and Any Questions? Any Answers?. BBC science ones are good too.
Any recommendations from you lot?

Re: Podcasts for your listening pleasure.
Since t'internet is dire here, I have quite a few Audible books which I listen to during cardio sessions. Not sure I'd be able to concentrate enough if I was walking the dog (that's not a euphemism, right?), podcasts generally being lighter. Currently listening to Atomic Wakening (A new look at the history and future of nuclear power), which certainly allows me to forget where I am for an hour or so.

Melvyn Bragg has made many highly informative grass roots historical presentations available as podcasts, and he is such a marvelous orator.
I have a lot of audiobooks that may make you want to walk the dog just to get your next installment...
Kurt Vonnegut reading Slaughterhouse 5 is a favorite, far more rewarding than the book for me. Ditto A Clockwork Orange.
Malcolm Gladwell books.
When Giants Walked The Earth, Led Zeppelin history is excellent.
Pretty much any old classic Sci-Fi...

Any 'audiobook' read by Alan Rickman is usually worth a listen.

Oh good grief. Al Dente, you may or may not be remotely interested but these aren't really boring old person ones:
The Football Ramble - the best football podcast going. Apart from the Pompey fan on it.
Fighting Talk - 5 Live classic, sports men and women competing for points but even my Mrs finds it very funny.

Will skip the footy one but Fighting Talk sounds good.

There were a few others I listened to but forget names - Brian Cox had one I think, that was good.

I was recommended by someone on here the Dave Gorman ones, I used to listen to them while in hours of traffic each night. I moved house so never finished them but really enjoyed it.

Audible is also great, seems expensive, but have a look on ebay for deals on book credits.
