I'm completely against the war in the political sense, but have nothing but admiration for the guys who put their lives on the line. They still have a sense of humour, which is great.

Brilliant LJ! I have got some friends in Al Ain who were in Basra, they have told me some terrible things that happened to them, but they are all still smiling! I am proud to be able to call them my friends

Saw a lot of troups being shipped out on my way back over here from Texas.
Hundreds of them. We got to talk to a few of them, it is heartbreaking, none of them see sense in what they are doing,well, at least not the ones on their second tour.
Lots of families at the airport saying "good bye" to brothers, mothers, husbands etc.It was bad, I just cried, knowing what they are going back to...
Still, they were trying to smile and not think about what could so easily happen.
