Loads of chav types now in Abu Dhabi - muffin tops, sleeveless tops revealing flappy arms and expat youths driving round in cars paid for by Dad. Seems to be more and more these days maybe due to the increase in secondary school places.

Come to think of it, I rarely ever see expat kids driving. Even out in New Dubai and I'm driving through Emirates Hills daily.

There was this eastern european girl reffing and she awarded a goal that had clearly not crossed the line on one of the other games. Was hoping to spot a Richard Keys-esque reaction from ex Sky Sports dude Rob McCaffrey who was stood on the sidelines but to be fair to him he stayed schtum. Wasn't his lad's team though.

We saw a Russian couple on the beach at JBR a few weeks back, they had full Rotana dressing gowns on - they must have walked all the way over from the Murooj Rotana, they looked ridiculous.

Ah yes - and the tatooed ladies! Saw a bare chested youth with shaved head and shirt round his waist wandering down the Corncihe the other day. All that was missing was the lager can! How things have changed......for the worst.

there are lots of chavs, just the wrong nationality
