Ironic?

And they wonder why Dubai is not considered a particularly sound place to invest. Great advert to encourage people, eh?

His "The Apprentice' rip-off was so bad it was good.

Not sure what became of the winner, not much I expect.

I've been chuckling at that. I really hope Safi Qurashi's lawyers use this as evidence in his trial against Nakheel.

"Your honour. You can not on the one hand demand dues from your customer when you have made it clear you will miss the original delivery date by over a decade, then on the over hand tell your customers they have to be realistic about debts you yourself owe in refunds."

This would be comical if there weren't people going to prison because of it.

Or, as employees or shareholders of the Big Boys, losing their jobs or substantial amounts of money. This really needs to hit the media in the west and east.

Just bumping this. Why isn't it bigger news? A semi-state organisation which is making profit but brazenly states it will only pay 20% of what it owes...Or are we just comfortably numb?

1. I'd venture to suggest that many local media organisations have been asked/told not to say much about it.

2. We've heard it before and are too cynical to react.
