Packing
I do it every time i travel- leave my packing to the last minute, I just don't seem to be able to find the motivation to do it until a couple of hours before I travel. Same with unpacking- takes me weeks!
So how much in advance do you guys pack- am I the only last minute packer?

Tomorrow night, but I'll go straight from the office so need to take my case with me tomorrow morning. But I'm a quick and efficient packer

Re: Packing
I fly Sunday. I keep telling myself that I am going to begin packing but to be honest there's not going to be much I can take home. The weather is awful back in Scotland so have organised friend to meet me at airport with coat and pair of boots. Actually can't wait for a bit of rain and cold weather treatment to get me in the Christmas spirit!

Re: Packing
Mrs packed for me.
It will be in the case still until she's back about 6 days after me (no point only doing a little washing )

Re: Packing
I can pack within 15 mins (and have done so many a times) - its just a routine. I guess its easier for men rather than women.
The worst thing is packing when returning back to base - especially if you have presents - as they never seem to be enough space or are of the wrong shape or are fragile.

Re: Packing
I ended up having to pack in an hour the other night. My dad ended up flying me out to surprise my mum for Christmas. Less than 18 hours after he rang to tell me to look at flights, I was on the plane.

Re: Packing
She was. I did it last year under my own steam and she made me promise I'd never do it again.
This time it was my dad's fault. I won't repeat what she said though. Suffice to say, she turned the air blue (in a good way).

Re: Packing
We had arranged for her to have dinner in a restaurant with my father and her best friend. We walked into the restaurant and stood behind her and started to sing 'Happy Birthday'..She firstly glanced behind and dismissed us ( if you ever met my mother you would understand the "dismissive glance"thing ) and then she did a double take and started crying..she hadn't seen 1 of her daughters for 8 years. It was so emotional ..I will never forget the look on her face when she saw us.
