Don't normally pay attention to the Oscars, but seeing as everyone's ignoring your thread......

Coen Bro's - long been a huge fan, totally deserved it.

Daniel Day-Lewis - no issues with that, either. My Left Foot, Gangs of NY - he's played some brilliant roles.

Diablo Cody - from stripper to screenwriter, what a lovely story....

Best Actor = English/Irish (dual apparently!)
Best Actress = French
Best Supporting Actor = Spanish

I am not really sure what Johnny Depp needs to do to get an Oscar but hopefully his time will come. Was pleasantly surprised to see Julie Christie among the nominees. She was great in Doctor Zhivago several moons ago.
