And The Oscar Goes To...
Somewhat surprising that Micky Rourke missed out at the Oscars with Sean Penn winning the Best Actor Award, but otherwise pretty much as expected.

Re: And The Oscar Goes To...
Sorry Bison but it doesn't seem to tell us who won what, only the nominations. Maybe I misread it?

Re: And The Oscar Goes To...
Yes, pretty much as expected, but still - good to see Slumdog walk away with 8 oscars, and Kate Winslett finally get hers.

Re: And The Oscar Goes To...
Thank God CCOBB didn't as much as it was nominated. I mean 13 Oscars for that? It's a great movie but comon you gotta draw the line somewhere. And Brad Pitt was so un-challenging in that movie. The story was great and granted the makeup and all that but that's it. Slumdog was good and it is good to see it win 8 oscars. Finally Kate won something. She deserved it a long time ago.
I wanted The Darknight to win more but well it is good that they came out of it with Heath's prize.

A "Kate Winslet" is in the 'alternative' list of names for golf shots.
It's when you hit the ball onto the green, but it rolls too far and ends up behind the green on the far side.
Why is that called a "Kate Winslet"?
Because it's a little bit heavy, but otherwise perfect...........

Watched The Wrestler last night, wanted to see what the Mickey Rourke performance was like. It was good, but surprised it has already won so many awards, as I didn't think it was that outstanding, the whole film works well. Would have liked to see Mickey win the Oscar though.
