Well, working in the Aerospace trade does give you inside information :)

I want something trouble free and safe to be in! You have been in the car with me and seen how crazy in can get on the roads of Dubai - I need a tank and I need one NOW!!

Think they are a bit on the heavy side, aren't they? I've never really rated the finishing touch on anything American built (mass produced I'm refering to) as I worked on a few in the UK for famous Footballers who could afford to run them and they just didn't seem that great. I've not owned one so might be wrong but first impressions......

Really? Hmmmm, might be worth a look too then! They aren't the most attractive of cars but I hear inside they are fully loaded with gadgets :)

I have the 4 litre v6. I love it, it accelerates well and is quite comfortable to drive. Visibility is good too and the radio is loud. Much better than the Pajero to drive but pretty basic inside (well mine is but it's a 2006 model). I've had 185kph out of it, and it will sit at 160kph all day.

Leaf sprung suspension though so best when loaded up a bit (told you it was a hilux). I've never taken it offroad but have seen others who do and it looks fine.

You do sometimes get guys on the road flagging you down for a lift though as from the front it is exactly the same at the truck.

Misses, says she gets around 350-400km per tank (depending on how much she floors it). It costs 100Dh to fill it - it has a very small tank for the size of the car.

OK, resurrecting this post as I went 'shopping' today at Mr. Habtoors. Fully loaded 3.8 LWB 2011 model is 119,000AED. Has anyone seen these elsewhere like Al Ain Class Motors or similar, before I wade in with Al Habtoor?
