No to Pakistan.
But India - where would you go for one week in June. I don't mind a bit of heat or rain but not clobbering heat or clobbering rain. Might as well stay in Qatar or go back home

As a kiddo I got dragged to just about every town in Northern Italy by the parents. Lakes are glorious. Bergamo is a better place to stay if swinging through Milan. Same with the Amalfi Coast and Capri. Italy is a gantastic place to travel. But while I'm still young enough to tolerate some discomfort I have my eyes on the more adventuresome parts of the world.

There are hill stations in all the states so you wouldn't necessarily have to visit the Himalayas for that. There are a few within an hour or two of Mumbai for example.
Just thought of Bhutan also.

What sort of holiday do you want? I know you said any, but what do you fancy? CHill? Explore? Beach? Adventure?

Any
Something pretty or interesting, good food, some adventure, whether exploring a city or a mountain, involves physical activity of some type (I get bored lying by a beach all day). And under 10 hours' flight. Hope this narrows it down a bit.
Cultural stimulation is also nice, so I can make snotty comments and feel superior to the locals
Ah, a thought: Roman ruins. Good destinations (not Italy) to see some great ruins? I like Roman ruins.

Ok, I'll cross off Azerbaijan. One small country isn't big enough for the two of us? If you say so....
Bali - been there, done that, rubbish place (ok, maybe not that rubbish but underwhelming and overdeveloped).
India - Monsoon season. Been a few times already. Maybe a different region?
China - pollution (cough cough) and shit food. But I am intrigued by some parts of Western China.
Russia - been there, done that. Do have friends in Moscow and it'd be nice to see them, but....eh.

Been already. I like Iran. Great food. Not the prettiest place but some nice cultural things to see. Wouldn't mind going back but not this year. I don't fancy being stuck when Trump does something stupid to piss of the Iranians, even with a UK passport.
Travelling alone this time.

Go see some lady-boys in Pattaya (Go on, say, been there...)

Italy - what about Lucca / Pisa / Tuscany in general? Or is this covered by previous trips?
Cyprus? Ruins there?
Malta?
Morocco? I'd love to go. But not where Bahtat is, although his photo's look excellent.

Greeks don't do it for me. Greek remains are not as interesting and more primitive (not including the Roman remains in former areas of Greece such as Ephesus). And all the good stuff is already in the British Museum.
Italy - all covered by previous trips. Although I was briefly appealed by the notion of just booking a flat in Rome for a week and hanging out and soaking up the civilised environment. Learn to become a guido, seduce the American ladies on their Eat Pray Love pilgrimage into a week long orgy, then I realised, um, no.
Actually never been to Cyprus or Malta. Any good? I imagine last week of June would be very busy.
Morocco - was contemplating that. Went there once, but I must have been, oh, old enough just to remember the heat and dust and weird foreign muck that had, you know bones in it. Could be worth a revisit. Fez - Marrakech and the Atlas? Perhaps Essaouira?
