I suppose they could be using some 'novel' mathematical formula to arrive at that figure. Or maybe it is 5K horsepower on race fuel with the engine lasting for 1 second before disintegrating.

You probably could have a 300mph 5000hp car if you used a helicopter gas turbine. It would be almost unusable but possible.

Well Volvo has been bragging recently of a "triple boost" turbo producing 225hp/litre, which would be one of the highest specific outputs for a production engine. To get 5,000 hp from a 225hp/l engine would require an engine in excess of 22 litres!

There's video of the car being driven somewhere in Dubai, and it doesn't have that peculiar whine of a gas turbine. Just sounded like a reciprocating engine.

The SS version of the Veyron has something like 1200 HP, so what compac (car size) reciprocating engine out there has these figures

Off topic; I was at an auction last year that featured several small aircraft gas turbines. Thought it would be neat to grab one but they sold for waay higher than I wanted to spend.

Looks a bit like a Spectre R42, a sort of kit car thing. At best it's got a Merc V12 putting out about 500 BHP.

5000 hp isn't out of the realms of a v8 as long as you don't expect it to last much longer than a 1/4 mile
RR built V16's for the phantom; that's the only one I can remember in recent times

Aerodynamic as a brick, looks piss poorly put together, wing is riveted on by the looks of it. Exhaust system impeded by stupid great big exhaust housing, inside has multiple small pipes impeding the flow. Sounds ragged as **** and belches black smoke at 1.02

In conclusion it's definitely a locally built piece of crap

That's hilarious. I don't actually think it's a malicious scam, the developer just seems to be a bit deluded and utterly ignorant of automotive technology or engineering
