A small cuting from today's "Penguin News"
Guess our friend is following on behind!!!
Detouring into Kentucky was a
spur of the moment decision and
one that caused us to stumble upon
the Sturgis Bike rally. Apparently
in the region of 50,000 bikers gather
in and around the small town for
several days – that’s some two
nighter.
We booked into a Ramada hotel
20 miles north of Sturgis on the
Friday. Information in the rooms
included a list of places of worship
and a note from the management
ensuring the customer that they
were not just hell bent on making
money, but wished your stay to be a
spiritually fulfilling one. I’m not
sure they had the skinny dipping
and streaking through the lobby by
‘spiritually’ uplifted bikers that
night in mind when they composed
their message. No, we didn’t take
part in the frivolities, but we met
some very interesting and friendly
people at the Copper Road gig that
night.
Next day we were back on the
road, heading for Nashville and wondering
if music city was going to be
the grand finale we had planned for
our American adventure...
