Oil Barons Ball.....
Anyone going to the Oil Barons Ball tomorrow night or has been in the past? Got an invite to it and am unclear whether I have to wear black tie with the kilt????

correct, depending on your attire (prince charlie or Argyll etc etc) a tie or dickie will do.
yup, charlie + bow tie, black and please, a real one no clip on tom foolery, should ideally be a winged collar shirt as well argyle + tie + normal collar |

Bugger... Had kinda hoped to get away with a ghillie shirt, jacket and plaid.... Ah well, have to go look for a tie, I suppose...

My pet hate is these ghillie shirts at weddings etc.. just doesnt fit with the occassion.. I wore a sherrifmuir jacket for my wedding. Really Really cool |
