The 'Official' Dubai Takeaway Guide
Ok guys,
I for one like takeaway food, plus it's easy and quick (sometimes) so I thought seeing as we're all spread out over the place, let's all contribute to a takeaway guide, you can just list the takeaways that you like in your thread.
It would be useful if you could put more information it (bring the critic out in you) be honest as well, if you had a bad takeaway we want to know where to avoid not just where to go, also let us know where the takeaway is situated and if they deliver.
Please note, the ratings and reviews here are purely from personal experience and may differ from your own experiences, please feel free to re-review.

- 'Oriental' Chinese takeaway situated by Mc'D in Jebil Ali - All in all not a bad takeaway, they do no do any curry, but there is a good choice of food and the price is reasonable. They do deliver as well, the chicken was 'ok' but the prawns are a really good size and the portions in general are huge. Bison's rating 7/10
- The Fish 'n' Chip Room, JBR - As part of a family of Greek chip shop owners back in the UK, I believe I am an expert in this field. The chips aren't bad here, Cod is expensive but Hammour in my opinion is not an option. The fish I have had was quite dry, with poorly mixed batter which is applied far to thinly. The mushy peas just aren't mushy, but again there is a lot of choice on the rather 'expensive' menu. Bison's rating 6/10
- Noodle House - Marina, I really like noodle house, really good food, really fresh ingredients and normally all delivered pretty quickly. The price isn't bad and the 'seasonal fruit' platter is to die for. Bison's rating 9/10

There are lots of branches of The Noodle House across town, but not all deliver.
Favourite take-aways places.
Da Shi Da (JBR & Uptown Mirdiff) Chinese/oriental. Small portions in big boxes, but their dum sum is good
Sumo Sushi & Bento - Clue's in the name, Decent Japanese food at reasonable prices. Do try the 'sushi sandwich'.
Al Safadi - some of the best Lebo food IMO and cheap too. (Beirut isn't bad either)
The British Indian place by Defence roudabout - the name escapes me. Great Brit style curries

6/10 for the Fish 'n' Chip Room is very generous.
Agree the chips were not but but the fish (cod) was horrible and the mushy peas (the important bit for a northerner) were rank!
I'd give it 3/10 at best

Has it got worse, I agree the Peas are proper rank, I don't know why they don't just import the 'Chip Shop Mushy Peas' that you can buy in giant tins, I am sure it's available here, I think Spinney's even sell the small tins.

- KFC - Basically crap, very cheap and guaranteed to arrive cold, if your lucky you'll get what you ordered! Bison Rating 2/10
- Lemon Grass, Ibn Battuta Mall - Not a bad little Chinese takeaway, the food here is buffet stlye and I think quite cheap and cheerful, it's always piping hot and there is a good variety, they do a really nice Chicken with Cashew nuts and also the Red Curry is very tasty, Delivery available but sometimes takes a while. Bison Rating 6/10
- Funky Buddha, Dubai Marina - This has a bit of everything, burgers aren't great, they are like the frozen crap you can buy where you get 20 in a pack, however the pastas are nice and the Salads are amazing and fresh, prices are very resonable and they will deliver all over the Marina and JBR. Bison Rating 6/10

I had a coffee and remembered! It is called British Tandoor.
http://www.britishtandoor.com/
The guy that run it is Welsh-Asian. Well worth collecting if you crave a proper Brindian (which naturally I do now!).

Except it's Thai, the name's a bit of a giveaway ! There's another branch opposite Lamcy Plaza and I'd give that 8/10
The best fish and chips was 'The Chippy' down by Defence Roundabout but it's been demolished now, anyone know whether they re-opened anywhere ?
