obese on flight

Re: obese on flight
errr I have no idea what my BMI is....and I can't remember the last time I weighted myself.....I work out 5-6 times a week ( 3 times bounce fit classes and then 2-3 times in the gym doing mainly cardio for a good 45-60 mins)
had a boob reduction a couple of years ago which not only improved my body silhouette but made working out so much better....best decision of my life...wished I'd had it done years ago....I can never understand why women want big bazookers.

Re: obese on flight
Haven't a clue what BMI I am either. As a man of average height (short - 5'9.5" ish) but naturally stocky it always says I am overweight. This was even the case just after uni when I had a 6 pack and was running 50 odd Km a week.
Kinda put on a little bit since then but nothing significant. I have a flattish stomach and I am quite well toned. Think I could do with losing a kg or two but that's about it. Been out walking and running a lot this month (6.5km a 3-4 times a week). Trying to get back into fitness slowly as I have a back issue from a bad snowboarding crash years ago and I ripped my rotor cuff last year. Getting there tho.

As always Milly you are wrong
How useful is the body mass index (BMI)? - Harvard Health Blog - Harvard Health Publications

Why BMI is inaccurate and misleading - Medical News Today
Muscle is heavier than fat. Thats a fact. I've always said, that even knowing your own weight is pointless. It's your body fat that's key.
I decide if i am fat or thin by the clothes I wear. Size 34 jeans (not tight) Size M shirts, (no belly). Thats good enough for me. But my key indicator is an insanity work out (which i do 5 a week), if you can do a Max circuit without needing to stop then your fit enough for me

You would have to be a serious weight lifter to skew BMI not just a gym goer..

Millhouse isn't wrong, BMI certainly has it's flaws but as a baseline measure it still remains a very good indicator of health and your likelihood of developing health problems. The key indicator is where your fat lives, ie waist measurement, so if you're middle is a bit on the thick side then your risk of diabetes, heart problems rises significantly... Taken in conjunction with BMI then it is a very accurate measure of your health.

My BMI is 21.5 - it should be 19.5, but it's artificially inflated by the weight of my penis.

Mine is 28.9, based on my pre-shit weight this morning. Not bad after a holiday of meat of wine....fortunately I just don't give a monkeys.
Apparently my optimum weight starts at 65kgs....terrifying to imagine what that would look like....maybe this; i

ah, you're bringing logic to the middle east porkies. We are all beautiful demigods here - at least that's what our beautiful but paid for girlfriends tell us. BMI does't apply in the Gulf.

Yeah, it's crazy to imagine some people at their "perfect" weight. My 15 year old son (his voice hasn't even broken yet and not even the hint of bum fluff on his perfect pimple free skin) is over 6 foot 2 and weighs 125kg, he's overweight (he has a genetic condition which gives him liver and metabolic problems but he is too sedentary). His doctors at the weight clinic want him to get down to 80kg, the kid's probably going to be at least six foot six and is naturally built like a brick shithouse. There is no way he's going to look healthy at 80kg's. I'd be happy for him to get down to 90-100kg's.

I got up to 110kg and it was a bit much, wasn't happy. 100 would be nice, but I'm basically there. 90 might be great but anything below that at 6ft plus is just going to enter bean pole territory. I'd always rather be on the bigger side of average than the smaller.
