They did a similar event a few years back attended by members of ABC, Spandau Ballet and Go West. These guys are getting on a bit now. Next Deano you will be recommending that we should all go and watch Sting perform at Yas Island next month, despite the guy being 61 years old or thereabouts. I guess that these old fellows need our support to supplement their pensions.

Funny, I think LC's album from last year is one of his finest ever. I like a lot of later Dylan but I'm underwhelmed by Tempest and I've had a couple of attempts to try and get into it (took me about 4 goes for Jack White's album, for example, but more than that has not yet won me over to Tempest). Maybe because a lot of it sounds more like pre-Nashville Skyline than post-Infidels, if you know what I mean...

I always found Highway 61 and Blonde on Blonde and all that a bit dreary (apart from a few highlights) if I'm honest. And I loved stuff like Slow Train Coming and Saved that got panned at the time (though not the born-again Christian lyrics so much). I think Tempest is probably more in the mode of his '60's albums (complete with 20 minute dirges and such) and that's why I'm not so keen.
