Re: Not on his knees this time
Loved Joey Barton's tackle on him - but he got the last laugh by scoring the winning penalty in the shoot-out for AC Milan.
Fair play to him too for coming knowing he'd get torrents of abuse, my admiration for him went up marginally...
Over 50,000 fans in for a testimonial game, and what a team. I wonder how much the likes of Shearer and Ferdinand would cost now.

Indeed, he was always second choice (or worse), yet stayed there for 20 years? Personally I think he was happy with his lot and didn't have the balls to try to be at the very top of the game.
Anyways, Villa away this weekend.

Re: Not on his knees this time
Ferdinand 30m (undervalued)
Beardsley 56m
Nobby 23m
Ginola 42m (overvalued)
Rob Lee 27m
Kilcline 10m (undervalued)
Watson 8m
Dabizas 9m
Beresford 7m (undervalued)
Harper 5m
So that's 306m, wow, and now we have a first team squad worth around a quarter of that.
