I'm sue they wouldnt declare Slavery 'Haram' in the GCC, but more like Bid'aa to own a fellow Muslim as a slave.

Makes sense in their guilty conscious to have a kuffar from NK.

The question is why would a wealthy country like Qatar employ slaves in the first place?

They could afford to pay them UK minimum wages

and a prevailing and very very tangible sense among almost all of them of considering most of these workers as lying, cheating ***turds, hence they consider them below themselves. Racism is a very real issue here. Walk into any Mcdees / other factory food outlets and watch how even their kids talk down to the philipino / thai staff there. It is ingrained deep in their brains since childhood I am afraid. Once a person does not consider another person as someone of his own race / rank / equality, well then you can expect almost anything from that person cant you?
So minimum wage is really just the tip of the iceberg here.
