Thought this was going to ba a fun thread but no -more kiddyfiddlers...

I have a bit of a theory on child abuse within the church;

I think that these men recognize they have unhealthy desires (as in fancying small children), so they think taking a vow of chastity will stop them from taking any action on their desires, but alas it actually puts them into the firing line, putting you as a confidente and trust worthy member of society where kids are actually put in your trust- too much temptation! And before you know it theres another scandal.

Slightly different topic but my old priest from my primary school days was Father O'brien-was a good looking guy, all the mums fancied him. Turned out he was banging one of them and he'd fathered 5 of her 8 kids!!! He got shipped off to a mission somewhere in Africa or something. I wonder how feasible it is for any man to spend his entire life celebate? I'm sure the priests and nuns are all probably knocking each other off.... Pretty sure I'll go straight to hell after this post!
