I thought the announcement would have been made sooner than yesterday. It's been on the cards for the last 3 years, since the new stadium was announced.

It's outrageous........ the whole historical tradition associated with a club is determined by their town/city name...............

Penzance and Newlyn - one of the great names of Cornish rugby (and the club that supplied Stack Stevens to the England XV among others) are now.....

............ Cornish Pirates..............

Then there's Pertemps Bees, Earth Titans (???)................ good grief.

I agree, but Llanelli RFC still exist, it's the region that is changing the name. The price of professionalism, in an ever changing world

Personally I would have preferred the Carmarthenshire Scarlets but what do I know about Welsh culture? Bugger all
