Re: Newbies....Introduce yourselves to the ME crowd
Hello! Another newbie here. I'm Canadian, not British, but I can't seem to find a good, similar site for Canadian Expats.
I have a job offer (2 year contract, renewable by mutual agreement) with a Canadian company in the Doha office and am seriously considering it. The company will take care of most everything for me (housing, utilities, driver/transportation allowance, health care, etc.), and I'm excited at the prospect of moving to Doha but it is quite stressful at the same time.
This forum has provided a wealth of information for me as I've read through. When I join a new forum, before I post with questions, I like to read through several months' worth of posts as I know many of my questions will have been asked by others many times before.
Thank you to all who share information and advice here!

Re: Newbies....Introduce yourselves to the ME crowd
Hey folks - I'll do the newbie thing and introduce myself - age 37, from England, married, 3 kids...about to move out to Dubai in April to take a job with a payments company in Barsha....not (quite) an alcoholic but I'm getting there :-)
Just thought I'd join this forum to help me get up to speed with some of the experiences of the members and I thought that some of the discussions look fun!
That's probably all for now....I'll be sure to try my best to avoid the typically stupid posts but can't promise.

Re: Newbies....Introduce yourselves to the ME crowd
Hi All,
I have posted a few times already on BE, thought I officially introduce my self as I have had a formal offer from a financial institute in Abu Dhabi.
I am married, with 3 young kids. Hopefully flying out in the next month and bring over the family later on this year.
Surely will be posting many more posts online..especially schooling as we are really struggling to find any where within our budget and proximity of the accommodation[which still needs to be confirmed].

Re: Newbies....Introduce yourselves to the ME crowd
Hi everyone,
I'm a complete newbie (so please bear with me ). I have been contacted about an exciting role in Abu Dhabi and is seriously considering it, although I never thought I would.
I have been reading through a lot if the posts and it has been really useful. Abu Dhabi sounds very interesting and attractive.
I just wanted to say Thank you to everyone for your advice and very useful comments and information.
