OK I'm confused now, you are saying I'm going to learn something without the carrot to follow? You still have a lot to learn about men .
Seriously though I love the thread and hopefully someone does a video .

Go on learn a sentence
Mumkin pepsi min fud-a-lic (literally "Possible pepsi please") - then you can add the numbers to Mumkin wahid pepsi min fud-a-lic (1 pepsi please) etc

min fodlac means literally from your grace. min being from, the spirit of the word is please.
so min fodlac , is please as said to a man, your (male) ends with ac
and min fodlic is please as said to a woman, your (female) ends with ic

Re: A new word a day
...because there is no "p" sound in arabic - only "b"
[I did a short arabic course which turned into 10 weeks of doing *just* the alphabet, so I can read out words but haven't a clue what they mean... although very handily, their English translation is right next to them. Interestingly enough, most shop signs are direct transliterations of their English name (and not a translation), so if you're into puzzles, you can work out the letters!]

Kef Halak - How are you?
Alhamdulillah - Good (literal translation is "praise to god")
Ahlan Wa Sahlan - Welcome (literally means "come in and feel at home")
