ah yes....THAT.....apparently people have sleepless nights guarding their houses.....speaking of strange, last night I found a bloody tail in my dining room...I kid you not...about 5 cm long...wiggeling away spurting blood for about 5 minutes,then it died....peacefully, i hope.

Alexa - have you been hitting the bottle again What kind of tail was it?? A rat's tail? A lizard's tail .... they like to drop their tails if attacked ....

So a cat must have ripped the tail off a rat and the nerve memory was causing it to wiggle for a bit - mystery explained!

Does a rat's tail do that EE?? That's exactly what a lizard's tail does but never heard of a rat's tail doing that - and I used to have 16 rats as pets too. But then I would never hurt them by cutting their tails off

My cats were both in my bed upstairs. It was not a rat's tail. I thought about a lizard tail, but, a. would the tail bleed when discarded? b. why did it drop its tail..nobody was around c. it was pretty big and meaty for a lizzard's tail.
Very strange.

It's exactly the same as if you were to cut of a frog's legs while still alive, the would carry on jumping.
