new artists/albums?

Hi all,

I just bought the new Adele album which is awesome! however I have decided being here I am well out the loop of new artists as i don't listen to the radio like i used to in blighty. So has anyone got anyone got any recommendations of new artists or albums that my ipod might like to download?

Im an indie chick at heart but have wide taste.

SO who or what album would you recommend- please note I don't need the best album ever as I probably have it- I want new up and coming or new albums

Thanks kids

You could try:

Crippled Black Phoenix "I Vigilante"
Grey DeLisle "Iron Flowers"
Baroness "Blue Record"
Blackfield 'Welcome To My DNA"
Anathema "We're Here Because We're Here"

Not new, possibly rather old, but rather low profile, I'd recommend anything by Portishead, with the exception of "Machine Gun".

Get onto 'Rizzle Kicks', proper brilliant summer London Hip Hop sort of happy stuff, I love them, just released debut track.

Get Jamie T's panic prevention (07 I think), listen to that religiously then get his follow up, Kings and Queens.

Both albums are a different sort of gravy and mix indie type tunes with a range of vocals.
