Given that the GM promoter is an Abu Dhabi government owned company, almost certain they will neither licence the event or permit alcohol...

The government permits alcohol and very much likes the 30% tax too.

We had a pub dinner on National Day with a couple of drinks - certainly a lot better than hanging around the corniche looking at traffic jams filled with locals revving and backfiring their engines, the sweet smell of carbon monoxide in the air and the romantic crowds pushing into you and spitting on the floor in front of you...
