will be interesting to see what eventuates this year.
Last year the private sector holiday was pushed to the preceding day.
This year may be the same pushed to Sunday 30th. But that doesn't work well with all public sector who will be getting Tue 2nd - Sat 6th off.

So my money is on the actual 2nd Tues to be a holiday. or maybe the Thursday 4th?

I also feel there may be some very big news over these dates that could be the reason why the public sector are getting a 5 day holiday this year. Just wild speculation of course.

Because it is impossible to know when you will sight the moon etc in this modern day and age. Plus it's a bit of fun screwing with peoples minds.

2 dec is fixed always 2nd of dec, its the other hols around it that are not fixed

UAE National Day private sector holiday announced

"The Minister of Labour Saqr Ben Ghobash has announced the private sector will get one day’s paid holiday on the UAE’s 43rd National Day.



Tuesday December 2 will be a day off for workers at private sector companies in UAE.Ghobash congratulated HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and HH Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum the Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates and people of the UAE on this occasion."
