National Bonds - Some problems?
Each year they announce the yearly profits in December and promptly pay out in Jan.
It's now mid Feb and still no announcement. Also in year 1 I received several prizes, year 2 maybe 1 at best, year 3 nothing... hmmm.... As soon as they pay out for 2009 I'm cashing them in... http://www.nationalbonds.ae/MediaCen...ent_en_gb.aspx |

In 2009 the bonus was not announced or paid out until February, so it's only a week later than last year.

- Although, I agree the risk is very very slim. Remember as a bond holder you are just another creditor to them - it's not like they have been that honest with all the other creditors. |

To be fair you don't actually know that for a fact. They might.

It's just a way to get money on the cheap...Instead of only having one source of funding (banks), they also have this variable alternative...It's a rolling credit scenario, plain and simple...
