My Favourite English Landmark

If you have never walked across it or strolled the lovely lawns above it, then put this on your bucket list:thumbsup:

Every big city has its gettos and no-go areas, two of the articles incidentally being 8 years old. Stapleton Road is just one single street, nowhere near as bad as Manningham Lane in Bradford for example, where its often too dangerous for prostitutes to walk.

Here are some pictures of College Green and the cathedral. Such an ugly city!

Sorry for your experience but I was raised from aged 7 in Bristol and never encountered any crime or violence whatsoever, unlike my times in Manchester, Bradford, Stoke and Leicester. Obviously times have changed but, if I ever returned to the UK, it would be one of my preferred destinations...maybe not the districts of Easton or St.Pauls however

Ah Manningham Lane, immortalised in Rita, Sue and Bob too, around the 1.30 mark by the crazy bloke on the balcony.

Classic film.

Horfield, mate. As a teenager I used to walk down Stapleton Road after watching the Rovers playing at Eastville Stadium before it was demolished and replaced by a Tesco Superstore.

A damned sight safer than parts of Bangkok I suspect. You really are obsessed with one little street. Get over it.
