nah it won't show up as a program. if you run regedit you will find it (which I advise you do not do) or run msconfig where you can disable it before removal with system restore...

I think you will be able to run system restore in admin mode anyway

Cool, you're the resident computer geek?

Some of the keys on my laptop have stopped working, I didn't spill anything on it or something. How can I fix this without using an external keyboard?

Got a list of Startup items from msconfig, but don't know which one it is! Any of these look suspicious? Or should I disable them all?

Well that was painless. Thanks Millhouse. Restored to yesterday. Turned off all the startup items in Admin mode, but didn't make any difference in logged-on mode. Tried safe start, but the system wouldn't accept my password, so did the system restore in Admin mode and the little bugger's gone.

Thanks again.

And saved me the embarrassment of asking the company's IT to help...

Not really - just it's a hazard of looking at porn all day and you learn how to fix the problems...

Well that backfired then. I was hoping that would be the last of you.

happy to have helped.

This also works very well when you install something new that accidently totally screws up your PC. Like, for instance, a USB glowing dildo.

Using my computer now in Administrator mode, and doing a scan but nothing coming up. Have looked for any new programs using Control Panel in Admin mode, but nothing there.

Any suggestions?
Have you ever maybe considered that this may not be your computer and you're using someone else's...

downlaod and install the following, and sop clicking on dodgy links.

http://download.cnet.com/AVG-Anti-Vi...-10320142.html
http://download.cnet.com/Ad-Aware-Fr...-10045910.html
http://download.cnet.com/Spybot-Sear...-10122137.html
http://download.cnet.com/ZoneAlarm/3...-10039884.html

nb if you have any other anti virus running other than avg or avast uninstall it as its likely to be shite anyway and NEVER EVER click on an online "scan my system now' link

with this lot you should catch 90% of stuff, if not then look into setting up the following on your pc as you clearly cant be let out on your own on the internets
Limited user account, softare restriction policy and data execution protection

Try Kaspersky (registered and fully updated), or McAfee. It usually catches all the latest trojans, worms, viruses etc
