Mouldy Shoes
This sounds disgusting, so apologies in advance.
I've got one pair of shoes which really reek of mould (they're Loakes, and relatively new, so I'm loathe to ditch them). I've sprayed them with athletes foot powder numerous times, but to no avail. Any sane suggestions?

Mould? Are they actually mouldy, or do you just have mouldy feet? I don't understand how such shoes can smell of mould. Have you tried storing them outside so they get fresh air?

I have heard that bicarbonate or even tea leaves in shoes really absorbs the smelly odours. Leave overnight.

Eww Bahtatboy!
I'm assuming this is inside your shoes? Scrub your shoes with a cloth and some washing liquid, then fill you shoes with salt, leave them for about 24 hours. Then dowse a cloth with lemon juice and stick them in your shoes for another 24 hours, then leave them somewhere dry to dry out.
Perhaps try putting some insoles in them and try not to leave them in an airless place if they are damp.

Re: Mouldy Shoes
Thanks for all the responses. (How long should they be in the microwave?!).
Just to point out: my feet are lovely and mould-free, honest. Just this one pair of shoes (which I don't wear now) which seem to have picked up something. Eugh.

Re: Mouldy Shoes
Soak them in a mixture of pickled onion, beetroot and gin. If that doesn't get rid of the mouldy smell. nothing will.
