lovely piccies. I have been to 24 places shown in the first and 19 on the second but there are many more that I have been to that are not on that list which are just as beautiful.

Re: The most important landmarks of the world
Yeah, maybe there were 2900 odd posts that didn't get the same reception as this one, but when you went for the big time, boy, were you right on target. A thread to be very proud of!

Re: The most important landmarks of the world
My two favourite views are Clifton Suspension Bridge (Bristol) especially from below and the first sight of Mount Kilimanjaro either approaching by air or by road via Namanga. Breathtaking.

Nice one, PussyKat:D
And the pics are also a homage to HDR--many of them simply would not have been possible pre-digital. |
Re: The most important landmarks of the world
Funny how you see some and think; that's nothing special, but others are the far-flung-I'll-never-see-that-ever sort of places.
I lived about 5miles from Stonehenge, it's alright. But I get excited when I see something like the Burj Al Arab every day... Maybe when it's in your back yard for a while it's just less impressive. |
