Re: Morocco
Lived there for 6 months (casablanca) in the second half of 2011, what do you need to know.Went to El Jadida for a couple of days, well if its the same one as is close to Casablanca.
Nice resort town, lots of construction work there. Think the big company working there was besix and one called Depa from UAE. Good resort called Magazan nearby if you are holidaying only.

Re: Morocco
I liked Morocco and I am not a seeker of carpets or underage sex for that matter.
Its a bit in your face, especially the souks but if you are not terribly uptight then its no big deal.

Re: Morocco
Possibility of a job there. Paying "remote site" money for 20 clicks from El Jadida, which, from my research, looks hospitable. And there's even a casino within striking distance...

Yes its a decent location, and you are also less than an hour from Casablanca. I really loved Morocco when I was there and hated to leave the place. If you speak French it is a good advantage, as the Arabic spoken there is impossible to understand.
Check out the local labour laws in you are signing a local contract, they have time dependent and project dependent and normal contracts, your end of service benefits under some types are quite high.
(As I found out when trying to sack a load of labourers!)
oh that casino is in Magazan the resort I mentioned earlier about 15 minutes outside the town

Re: Morocco
Part of it used to be an English colony. How about getting it back ?
