Hurts ended 2010 with a bang after winning Germany’s prestigious award for ‘Best International Newcomer’ at the Bambi’s (the German BAFTAs) and in the UK, The Sun awarded them as ‘Best Bizarre Session of 2010’. They also recently won the award for ‘Best New Band’ at the NME Awards which has been won in the past by Coldplay, Muse, Kings Of Leon, The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, and MGMT.

Hurts are currently on a sell-out European tour following their sold out shows in the UK in February. They will perform their first ever US show at the Coachella Music Festival next month followed by tour dates across Asia. Hurts make their first and only Middle Eastern stop in Dubai in May before heading home for a busy summer of festival performances including V Festival, Isle of Wight, T in the Park, Oxegen and Dot To Dot.

As someone planning on moving out to Abu Dhabi in September...I'm glad to hear that it's still possible to catch decent gigs such as The Hurts and Mundy!

They are few and far between, but there are some good ones. The Streets played on the beach here a couple of months ago to only a few hundred people.
