Re: More Dubai stupidness
lol nothing new spugsy, my lad got stopped in AD not long ago, he was wearing a ben sherman t.shirt that they didn't like, it was funny rather than rude, he was told not to wear ( for the spelling old bill) it again.

Re: More Dubai stupidness
Surely all that was required here was a caution and if absolutely necessary, confiscation of the "offensive" shirt to protect the moral fibre of the nation and save further corruption of the populus..... |

Re: More Dubai stupidness
It could be argued however that the choice of models on the T shirts was to titilate and increase sales -albeit for an extremely worthy cause.
Obviously not looking for a fight as being the quiet unassuming type and always for flight over fight,I'd say the real reason the authorities in DXB found it offensive is becos the designer is a homosexual Jewish person (allegedly). If a depiction of semi/near nudity is regarded as offensive then I would think the object d'artes in the Guggenhiem & Louvre, Abu Dhabi are going to be rather limited.Doesn't auger well for preRaphaelites,Titians or Botticellis (no pun intended) |
