Re: Minimum taxi fare of Dh10
Bag packers at the supermarket get Dh5/10 depending on how much shopping and help I need, and Dh20-Dh50 for Eid/Diwali/annual vacations
Office boy gets Dh100 a month and a bonus when it's Eid, annual leave or I get a bonus or pay rise.
However, these are tips or incentives that I choose to give and whilst I am glad to do it for people that help me and make my life easier, not everyone can afford to do this.
Raising taxi fares at this time is going to make it difficult for people reliant on taxis and are finding things difficult. It's not as if there are lots of other transport options.
Dubai just doesn't seem to get it - their credibility sinks lower and lower....

If AED10 is too much the buses are pretty good for some journeys as well and cost a lot less.
In London you'll be lucky to pay less than AED 30 just to sit in the back of a cab.

Surely no one here is actually complaining about a Dhs 10 minimum fare? It really is a small sum.
