Very different from how it was widely reported in the media, but gruesome nevertheless. Why on earth did the so-called judges ignore the camera evidence, which would have been pretty conclusive? I know from housemaid gossip in Jeddah that rapes by taxi drivers are commonplace over there, but the maids are too intimidated or mistakenly ashamed to report such incidents to the Police. One Ethiopean woman I know had to physically punch the driver and kick open the door to avoid being taken into the desert and raped by a Jeddah taxi driver. More common however are gang rapes of Indian and Pakistani boys...sad but unfortunately true.
