Yeah sorry, I had forgotten about last year. Yep, I should think the same would be true this year as well. Most would still serve I should think but I do remember asking my local about it last year and he said that we were told to keep at it quietly but no dancing / very loud music and no serving to Muslims.

See the thing is, there used to be another very practical reason for most of these places to shutter up for a month i.e. The low income workers are promised a month off a year when they are being hired and they usually are given a ticket from the owners every 2 years as well. So most of them look forward to this month all year long (and saveup as well) so they can bugger off and have a well deserved vacation with their families etc.

The reason booze was served during the day in many places was tourism so I'd expect much the same this year. It's all about the money...
