Glad to see they got their priorities in order.

Why didn't they just contract McDonalds to open a branch in the school ,would have been much cheaper and safer.

Erm? How about banning them from leaving the school grounds during the day, including lunch time?

At the high school I went to, we weren't allowed to leave the school grounds at lunch time until we were in sixth form.

Reminds me of the late '80's when the head of my first school stood up and announced the arrival of several vending machines full of chocolate & fizz - a good source of revenue was his justification.
This was the start of the obesity epidemic. My current school (and most others) have banned these machines which now only dispense bottled water. We have a strong healthy eating policy – chips only on Friday! Our younger kids are not allowed to go out at lunchtimes, 99% of parents are happy with this. The older ones are allowed as a privilege, which is withdrawn if they misbehave in class.

The school at the centre of this farce has a long tradition of achievement, so I was surprised to see the justification for this action - looks as if they have lost their way regarding the wellbeing of their pupils :(

Had a Quick Burger in Paris last night.

The packaging now shows how much fat is in each purchase. Over 40g in my burger. Yum. *lardysmiley*

Same here. Of course they had to catch us...

I remember Hesburger in Finland ran a scheme to put weightwatchers points for all their products.

The Hesburger Megaburger meal (1,100 calories, 78g of fat just in the burger) had enough points for two days. :rofl:
