And obviously it is nothing to do with the timewasting tactics that the visiting teams employ when they are winning or drawing at Old Trafford. That's the problem with statistics, they don't tell the whole story.

Re: Man Utd given more time than rivals
In mitigation, the study revealed that the average stoppage time added at Old Trafford is below that at the home grounds of top four rivals Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea.
United's is 205 seconds, compared to Liverpool's 210 seconds, 224 seconds for Arsenal and Chelsea's 229 seconds. Thank you and good night................. |

In the 2007/08 Premier League (haven't seen last season's numbers), of all the goals scored after 85 minutes, 78% were by the home team. |
Re: Man Utd given more time than rivals
must be reassuring for ManUtd fans to keep reading this shite, it'll keep coming as long as they're still the best team.. when it stops it's time to worry

it should also be noted that if the away team is leading then they will often be hanging on to that lead and wasting a lot of time. hence more time added |
Re: Man Utd given more time than rivals
Let's face it - looking at the raw numbers alone, they are getting c.10-15s more than the other teams. If they haven't been able to score in the prior 90minutes does that 10s advantage really offer much?

its amazing Bellendamy got away with a warning from that match.
When did all football supporters become fannies ? Those Arsenal fans dished out dogs abuse to Adebayor then cried like babies because he slid on his knees on some grass where they could see him. |
