about time the papers did something like that.
tbh in the "war on terror" the afghan engagement is the only one i actually agree on, the only thing that pisses me off is that the same iraqi/contractor/cash scandal is stopping any rebuilding and a lack of troops and equipment is hampering all our efforts. the taliban were and are a global force of evil and really do need to be addressed and lets not forget that over 80% of the wests heroin supply arises in afghanistan so at the very least a concerted effort to eradicate its growth should ultimately save the west a fortune in drug treatment, crime prevention and policing costs. |
