There are reasons that you don't see Filipino restaurants in five star hotels or across other major cities.

There is a well-known breakfast dish that is basically a sort of chocolate rice pudding that is eaten with a fried, dried fish. And balut is one of the most disgusting things anyone could consider eating. *vomiting emoji*

Thanks. I was considering snaffling something tasty from our treats drawer, that's stopped the urge. Reckon I should be alright till about next Tuesday. :sick:

Not only is it disgusting but more importantly it is immoral. I am no vegetarian but if you are gona eat an animal, atleast made sure it has been killed humanely.

Oh yes I remember Balu!
Oh gawd! Do I remember it now. My mate stays with a few pinoy guys in Doha and a few weeks ago I went with them to this great place called crossroads. I loved it, great live music so obviously all of us got hammered crazy! Then these guys took us to some place, I don't even remember the name, and we all had that liquid stuff called Balu, apparently to rehydrate or whatever! Ugh!!
And they put that fish sauce in it which smelt like sh*t I kid you not! Someone had taken a dump in that small bowl and was passing it off as fish sauce :D
I mean it was really so so bad that I remember nothing else from that night, but I do remember Balu! they had THE best chicken steak in Doha though!

Upon seeing the 1st thread being "Low Carb diets" and the 2nd thread being "Arab youth survey-joining Daesh" ..

..my brain combined the 2 into " Arab Crabs "
