tbh I do love sitting all alone on a quiet beach in the middle of the night with a couple of cold ones and just zoning out.....and hoping that a drunk russian damsel will trip all over me (or with my luck puke all over me

Speaking of rain, light rain in the Maldives at the moment. Have no fear, it's almost 9 PM and the whole day was brilliant weather till the rain started 10 minutes ago.
Sitting at an open air bar on a tropical beach on an isolated island nursing a stiff cocktail and listening to the soft patter of rain on the water = worth every penny.
Alcohol at my resort is cheaper than in Dubai
13 USD for a large cocktail with plenty of quality booze or 8 USD for a draught of cool crisp beer.
Snorkeling is amazing. Saw three turtles and a large reef shark popped up less than two meters from me.
