Re: Long weekend
sleeping
then probably will get nagged enough to take them down to RAK for a couple of nights
tbh I do love sitting all alone on a quiet beach in the middle of the night with a couple of cold ones and just zoning out.....and hoping that a drunk russian damsel will trip all over me (or with my luck puke all over me )

Re: Long weekend
Speaking of rain, light rain in the Maldives at the moment. Have no fear, it's almost 9 PM and the whole day was brilliant weather till the rain started 10 minutes ago.
Sitting at an open air bar on a tropical beach on an isolated island nursing a stiff cocktail and listening to the soft patter of rain on the water = worth every penny.
Alcohol at my resort is cheaper than in Dubai 13 USD for a large cocktail with plenty of quality booze or 8 USD for a draught of cool crisp beer.
Snorkeling is amazing. Saw three turtles and a large reef shark popped up less than two meters from me.
