Local Traditions
Where I come from we toss a big cheese down a steep hill and run after it, cos we're all a bit mental.
What traditions do you have where you come from?

Re: Local Traditions
Where I come from we have a tradition called 'Feast Monday' the last bank holiday in August, quite complex really.
We all take the day off work and go out and get pissed !

My home town (Bedford) is the home of the Bedford Clanger, a farmworkers lunch (a pie) which consists of a main (savoury) course at one end, and a dessert at the other (sort of two fillings in one pie).
Enjoyed temporary/fleeting fame when featured in a Rick Stein cooking show, and was once mentioned by Penelope Keith in an episode of "To The Manor Born".
Where I live now (South East Sussex) is reputedly the original home of morris dancing...... people from various other parts of the country dispute this.
I'll get me coat...............
