Liquid egg whites
Ok, this should probably be on one of the women's forums, but I'm trying to start some serious weight training and want to buy liquid egg whites (in a tetrapak). Anybody know where I can?
I only ask 1 or 2 questions a year on this forum, so your help would be appreciated... |
Re: Liquid egg whites
I've never seen them in a tetrapak, but you can get them in powdered form in the baking sections of supermarkets (used for meringues and the like)... or, you could get them individually wrapped in a handy shell - buy one egg white, get a yolk free!

Thanks--I'll have a look at the powder, but the recommendation is for liquid. I hate waste, especially as I buy the Omega 3 eggs which have great yokes. |
Re: Liquid egg whites
You can do loads of things with egg yolks. They needn't go to waste.

Daft thing is I bought some about 6 months ago, but can't remember where. Been round Spinneys tonight--nothing there (I asked, too), and Co-op.

However, any suggestions for recipes using just (or mainly) yokes? Grazie Lorna! |
Re: Liquid egg whites

Try lulu in Khaladiya Mall, did you try Abella or Choitram
Do the yokes actually make hair grow back? |

I know, but I'm trying to lose fat and put on some muscle at the same time: lots of egg whites are good, but I don't want more than a couple of yokes each day because of their fat content.

I do, but I like to use a variety of protein sources. And I love eggs.

However, any suggestions for recipes using just (or mainly) yokes? Grazie Lorna! Hollandaise sauce dribbled over fresh asparagus? Make some fresh egg pasta. Like Grace said - good for your hair. Can be used as a face mask too. Mix with some olive oil and a little warm honey to make a natural dry skin conditioner (remember to rinse off lol.) Oh - egg yolks can be frozen too so you really don't need to waste them. |
