most of them are time lapses i.e. slow shutter settings but still pretty cool

time lapse is a series of images taken from the same spot over a period of time.
slow shutter speed does what it says on the tin.
time lapse would give a very different end result to these images

I was expecting something along the lines of below, as opposed to lightning storms or flashes. Put my anorak away now.

Great pic Mike - is that you on the tractor or were you taking the photograph?

Didn't Lightnings used to chop the kneecaps off pilots whose thighs were too long when they ejected?
