Thank god for scottish law, we are judged based on "reasonable actions" given the circumstances. IE someone is mugging you, you have the right to use enough force to stop the attack, no more no less.

I agree ..its bad form to empty the whole clip into them
usually 3 shots are enough...

Meanwhile in the USA and other countries we Brits look down upon people have been defending their hearths and homes for centuries and not being treated as criminals for it.

Looks like Britain is finally waking up. I'll move back of they'll let me have a gun to defend myself from criminals and defend my freedoms from the tyrannical state!
