Lapdancing Students
How would you feel if your found out that your undergraduate daughter studying at Oxford University pays for her tuition fees by lapdancing? Personally, I would not be too worried so long as my daughter was strong enough mentally not to be tempted to go further. How about you?

Spearmint Rhino v HMRC
This makes excellent reading, especially this bit: However, of more interest to his Lordship were the activities which related to “more direct engagement between the women and the customer as ... the women can be engaged to perform private dances for the customer.” http://www.coventry.ac.uk/cu/externa...cesVollans.pdf |
Re: Lapdancing Students
One of my mates at college did this whilst I worked nights in burgerking, a bar and at Tescos. I was juggling 3 jobs trying to get as many shifts as possible whilst she worked one and earned substantially more than I did all week (and she had little baps)- If I'd had a bit more self confidence I would have done it myself! I think you have to be a certain person (100% confident and don't think about things too much)to do this line of work and not let it effect you but you do whatever you have to do- as long as it doesn't effect your relationships and opinions of men why not?

Re: Lapdancing Students
Having said that I don't think my Dad would be too happy about it!

I know a lass who was a lap dancer and she had fun but works in a bar now as she said she just hated it, despite earning loads of cash. |
Re: Lapdancing Students
Spugnsy- you think I enjoyed working in Burgerking and Tescos- bar work was always fun though.

Re: Lapdancing Students
Friend of mine did this, paid her way through Uni without any assistance...but instead of stopping after uni and getting a 'proper job' with her degree, she just carried on.
Lifestyle was too good and money too much to turn down. |

http://www.guardian.co.uk/education/...unding-studies I'd also feel like a failure as a father for raising a child who feels that's even an option for a woman in my family. But I wouldn't go ape or get all puritanical - I'd try to help her find a more respectable job. N. |
Re: Lapdancing Students
Nothing wrong with this in my opinion, nudity isn't something to be ashamed of I feel.
In fact its more exploitation of us idiot men who confuse a seeing a naked woman who is paid to smile and be nice to us with someone who genuinely likes us. We are the victims here  |

Maybe I'm just a touchie-feelie kind of guy and don't get it :p N. |

I used to go with a group of lads at the end of a night out, few more beers, bit of a laugh and loads of banter. Never took it too seriously, although one or two seem to genuinely think that the girls were interested. I never spent much but had a laugh...although I understand why some people would find it uncomfortable. If you have the attitude that it's all a bit of fun and pretty transparent at the end of the day then you and the girls have a laugh. If anyone is uncomfortable with their daughter stripping, it could be worse, they could be walking the streets and doing much worse. It's a fairly well (not perfectly of course) regulated industry as far as I'm aware... |

This is what is being sold in my opinion, its not necessarily just the idea of sex. Its a bit of a cliche I know but it seems to ring true. Personally I prefer to sleep with random women I meet in bars (daughters and wives of other men obviously ) but thats probably much more acceptable  |
Re: Lapdancing Students
Strippers are more likely to already have their degree, try to keep up people :).
