Re: KSA Foreign Workers Visa Raids
This was long on the KSA authorities' to do list. I guess they bit the bullet and decided to do something about it now.
Especially targeted will be the ones from african countries. I am told they have become a huge nuisance and as evident from the news sources, are not afraid to take on the police or the locals. I am afraid things will get tougher for both parties in the coming days and maybe a bit more violent as well. |

Not sure whether this is a good old fashioned lynching. The police appear to "save" one of them though, by taking him into custody. edit: large summary of media of events: http://wap.sabq.org/WfIfde |

Strange that a counry so dependant on foriegners that no Suadi is prepared to take up the gap. Directors and senior positions, which they are not competent to do, but hey! they can always find someone they don't respect.
And when the oil runs out? Hmmm...Nuclear waste dump in Riyadh? |

Where's the Islamic ideal of charity and Muslim brotherhood, for I assume a lot of these alleged illegal migrant workers are Muslims.

difficult to work out what is happening but it doesn't look good. |
Re: KSA Foreign Workers Visa Raids
For decades there have been areas of Jeddah and Mecca where even the police do not go. Ghettoes occupied by illegal African migrants where the State effectively has lost control. I assume that Riyadh is the same.
Maybe the authorities are now doing something about this ? |
