Standard Green Form tenancy agreement--only prohibition is subletting. Our full-blown office is on the same form--one page, half of which is Arabic (presumably says the same as the English). Don't suppose Law of Landlord and Tenant is too well established here.

A/C can be a nightmare, right enough. When I stayed in a site camp in Qatar I had one of those ancient in-the-window units right over the bed and it was like having Concorde in the room. Even ear plugs did little to help.

Regenerated Noise. Not much you can do about that, except move, or ask really nicely to put PUR damper mats under the mounts for the AC's. You'll get a lot of blank looks....

unfortunately over here all apartment buildings seem to have split A/C so it can be a bit noisy. it also means we only run A/C in the bedroom at night otherwise our electricity bill would be huge
