I was told to hold these dates clear as someone 'amazing' was coming. Can't say I agree with their definition of amazing.

Oh well, more false hope curtsey of the UAE.

christ you furqhuars are hard to please.

arguably the biggest band of recent years. One that plays guitars and stuff and your still not half way pleased.

Commander - it's in your back yard man - sorry it's not Simple Minds, but you know it's pretty good...

I'd prefer Kasabian.

I'm up for that........

Doesn't quite make up for missing Oasis, Kasabian and U2 because I started over here.

I actually saw the Proclaimers when they played the Abu Dhabi Club car park in around 2002. A massive turn out of about 150 jocks...

What is it with people who try to sound like music aficionados when they go on about how bands used to be good but aren't now? Pretentious twaddle. "Oh, I remember them when NOBODY knew them...playing sweaty clubs to a handful of fans...blah, blah, blah!"

Still, this generic statement is actually true about Oasis.

And Simple Minds.

And Auto, I thought the Killers woud be far too mainstream for you!
;)
